Abstract

An individual’s body image, reflecting individual style, health and even social status, determines his/her selfperception and the perception of others. One of the important questions posed by many researchers is what components influence satisfaction with one’s own body and how the attitude towards one’s body can further influence one’s wellbeing and mental state. The purpose of this article is to provide a systematic review of current research over the past 5 years that examines the relationship between satisfaction with one’s body image and psychological well-being. The scientific significance of the review is to summarize the current data and research in this area, for further development of a plan to conduct an experimental study in Kazakhstan on a sample of women of middle adulthood. When writing the paper, the method of theoretical analysis of scientific literature was used, including systematization and generalization of current data on the topic of body image and psychological well-being. The results of this article are conclusions about the close links between psychological well-being and body image, the influence of body image satisfaction on the emergence of eating disorders, as well as the influence of social networks on dissatisfaction with body image. Abstract

This article explores the multifaceted nature of “interpersonal tolerance” and its close connection to a person’s ability to accept diversity. The research results revealed a significant role of socio-demographic factors in student interactions. However, it was found that the impact of these factors on the level of communicative tolerance is not straightforward. This suggests that interpersonal tolerance among students is more closely related to individual personality traits such as perception, trust, and goodwill, rather than cultural and social norms.
