Peer-Review

double-blind peer review method is mandatory for processing of all scientific manuscripts submitted to the editorial stuff of "Eurasian Journal of Current Research in Psychology and Pedagogy". This implies that neither the reviewer is aware of the authorship of the manuscript, nor the author maintains any contact with the reviewer. The manuscripts are sent to two reviewers for evaluation.

  1. Members of the editorial board and leading Russian and international experts in corresponding areas of life sciences, invited as independent readers, perform peer reviews. Editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief or science editor choose readers for peer review. We aim to limit the review process to 6-8 weeks, though in some cases the schedule may be adjusted at the reviewer’s request.
  2. Reviewer has an option to abnegate the assessment should any conflict of interests arise that may affect perception or interpretation of the manuscript. Upon the scrutiny, the reviewer is expected to present the editorial board with one of the following recommendations:
    - to accept the paper in its present state;
    - to invited the author to revise their manuscript to address specific concerns before final decision is reached;
    - that final decision be reached following further reviewing by another specialist;
    - to reject the manuscript outright.
  3. If the reviewer has recommended any refinements, the editorial staff would suggest the author either to implement the corrections, or to dispute them reasonably. Authors are kindly required to limit their revision to 2 months and resubmit the adapted manuscript within this period for final evaluation.
  4. We politely request that the editor be notified verbally or in writing should the author decide to refuse from publishing the manuscript. In case the author fails to do so within 3 months since receiving a copy of the initial review, the editorial board takes the manuscript off the register and notifies the author accordingly.
  5. If author and reviewers meet insoluble contradictions regarding revision of the manuscript, the editor-in-chief resolves the conflict by his own authority.
  6. The editorial board reaches final decision to reject a manuscript on the hearing according to reviewers’ recommendations, and duly notifies the authors of their decision via e-mail. The board does not accept previously rejected manuscripts for re-evaluation.
  7. Upon the decision to accept the manuscript for publishing, the editorial staff notifies the authors of the scheduled date of publication.
  8. Kindly note that positive review does not guarantee the acceptance, as final decision in all cases lies with the editorial board. By his authority, editor-in-chief rules final solution of every conflict.
  9. Original reviews of submitted manuscripts remain deposited for 3 years.

Publishing Ethics

The editorial office of the Eurasian Journal of Current Research in Psychology and Pedagogy is guided in its activities by the following principles of publication ethics.

Principles of Professional Ethics in the Activities of the Editor and Publisher

When making a decision on publication, the editor of the scholarly journal is guided by the reliability of the data presented and the scientific significance of the manuscript under consideration.

The editor must evaluate the intellectual content of manuscripts regardless of the race, gender, religious beliefs, origin, citizenship, social status, or political preferences of the authors.

The editor must not allow the publication of information if there are sufficient grounds to believe that it constitutes plagiarism.

The editor must respond to claims concerning reviewed manuscripts or published materials and, in the event of a conflict situation, take all necessary measures to restore violated rights.

The editor may reject a manuscript without external peer review if it is deemed not to correspond to the journal’s scope or required quality standards. Such a decision must be made impartially, based solely on the content of the manuscript, and the criteria for such a decision must be clearly explained to the author.

The editor, employees of Turan University, and members of the editorial board may submit their own research for publication in the journal; the evaluation of their manuscripts must also be impartial.

Ethical Principles in the Activities of the Reviewer

The reviewer conducts a scientific evaluation of submitted manuscripts; therefore, their actions must be unbiased and comply with the following principles:

The reviewer should agree to review only those manuscripts for which they possess sufficient expertise and which they are able to review in a timely manner.

The reviewer must respect the confidentiality of the review and must not disclose details of the manuscript or the review during or after the review process to anyone except persons authorized by the editorial office (e.g., the editor).

A manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document and must not be shared with or discussed with third parties without authorization from the editorial office.

The reviewer is obliged to provide an objective and reasoned assessment of the research results presented. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable.

Unpublished data obtained from manuscripts submitted for review must not be used by the reviewer for personal purposes.

The review must be conducted objectively, and conclusions must be clearly formulated and substantiated so that authors may use them to improve their work.

Principles Governing the Author of Scholarly Publications

The author (or group of authors) bears primary responsibility for the novelty and reliability of the research results, which implies adherence to the following principles:

Authors must present accurate results of the research conducted. Knowingly false or falsified statements are unacceptable.

Authors must ensure that the research results presented in the manuscript are entirely original. Borrowed fragments or statements must be properly cited with mandatory reference to the author and the original source. Excessive borrowing, as well as plagiarism in any form—including unattributed quotations, paraphrasing, or appropriation of others’ research results—is unethical and unacceptable.

The contribution of all persons who in any way influenced the course of the research must be acknowledged. In particular, references must be provided to works that were significant in conducting the study.

Authors must not submit to the journal a manuscript that has been submitted to another journal and is under consideration, or a manuscript that has already been published in another journal. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable.

All individuals who made a significant contribution to the research must be listed as co-authors. It is unacceptable to list as co-authors persons who did not participate in the research.

The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors (if any) have approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for publication in the journal.

If an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in the manuscript during the review process or after publication, they must promptly notify the editorial office of the journal.

The source of research funding, if any, must be disclosed, and its role in conducting the research and/or preparing the manuscript must be specified.

The journal reserves the right to reject any manuscript submitted for publication that does not comply with the above principles.
